Retirement home for a single woman who moved to a California beach city.
The environment of cool ocean breezes, palm trees on the site and local design aesthetics lends itself to Mediterranean Style architecture that our client agreed we should pursue. A one story home was appropriate for this client, that also has a guest bedroom suite and small office area with a view to the pool.
Amenities are inclusive of a patina-painted iron electric gate at driveway entrance, two fireplaces, white washed wood floors, smooth white exterior plaster walls, skylights in kitchen and master bath and volume ceilings strategically located in many parts of the home.
Also there’s a detached two car garage we located at the rear of the lot with an adjunct exercise structure that contains a ¾ bath and small closet for her workout clothes and equipment. We plumbed this area for a future kitchenette and possible studio ADU Unit.
